Feature Profile of the Week

 One the the most talked-about fashion success stories of the early '00s, Trovato emerged from out of nowhere in the early part of the decade to capture the coveted CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund award for menswear in 2005. Blending prep school elements with idiosyncratic details and a beach-casual sensibility, the brand is one of Orange County's most visible additions to the world of high fashion.

Founded in 2001 by John Whitledge (creative director), Josia Lamberto-Egan (production director), Jeff Halmos (sales and marketing), and Sam Shipley, Trovata is made up of four individuals who describe themselves as possessing "nothing resembling a fashion resume" (although Whitledge had earlier interned at Abercrombie & Fitch).
