_Buying Guide

This "typical" Abercrombie guy is very easy to spot. Most of the time they are some college kid who has his moms credit card and goes to the mall to spend 400 bucks on clothes from Abercrombie. Now these clothes include: ripped jeans, kahki's, polo shirts, sexual t-shirts, sandals, a necklace with a shell or two on it, and maybe a leather bracelet. They put all these things together, and think they have some sense of style.

General Description

This is basically for the typical frat boy. The wear their kahki shorts low enough to see some COOL belt, with their sandals on and a popped collared polo (and sometimes they even wear two popped polos, just incase one polo with a broken collar wasn't enough). Now these guys are extremely easy to find, the best way is to go to your local Abercrombie & Fitch and look at any of the 40 guys they have working at one time.

History and Recent Developments

These clothes were "cool" to wear in the late 90's, however I guess frat boys are a little slow. This fad recently hit at the turn of the century, and sadly, still continues til this day.

Key Features

I listed many before, however the main features are: destroyed jeans (so you can see their fake tanned legs) or kahki's, popped polos (maybe even two), some kinda sexual t-shirt telling girls how big or how good in bed they are, sandals, a nice cool belt, and some "surferey" (even though its not a word) jewlery.

Major Brands

The major brands belong to three main competitors: Abercrombie & Fitch, Hollister and American Eagle. There are other brands who can give you this look if you so choose, however I dont know why you would want to. Yet these 3 hold the title as the kings of their trade.

General Pricing

Generally these brands are pretty high priced, Abercrombie being the most expensive. Some people dont have a problem paying $100-200 for destroyed jeans, however many would think that rediculous. All these brands make good quality clothing, however I think they are way over-priced for the typical trend they are supplying.
