Brand History

Since its creation in 1999 by streetwear enthusiast Greg Selkoe, the site has evolved from a one-man-show into an online powerhouse with over one million unique visitors from around the world every month. Karmaloop.com, flourishing survivor of the internet bust, offers the most comprehensive list of the world's best streetwear brands under one "roof", plus exclusive and limited edition products created expressly for the site. In September 2005, Selkoe opened the first Karmaloop bricks and mortar store on Boston's famed shopping Mecca, Newbury Street. The Karmaloop store is the only one of its kind in the city and sets a new retail standard for premium streetwear, one of the apparel market's hottest growing sectors.

Karmaloop and Karmaloop.com are more than just stores; they serve as a hub for a community of global hipsters--that discerning consumer group with distinct taste and a connoisseur-like approach to fashion and style.
