Ecca Form means- to imagine a shape (something not yet in existence). *The Stack Backpack*, Ecca Form's first product on the market, is influenced by sculptural curves, minimalism and user practicality.

!!Brand History ---- Ecca Form was founded by Industrial Designer, Gary Ashley in 2006. After relocating back to Seattle from Denver, Gary was looking to hang up his hiking backpacks and find something more stylish to use in the city. "After shopping around for an urban backpack, I noticed there were not a lot of choices on the market that fit my taste in style and that had the features I was looking for, so I decided to design my own." The unique shape of the Stack Backpack is inspired by an upside down backpack. "I was visiting some friends and their little girl was playing around with her backpack and she flipped it on upside down. I thought it looked cool, so I went home and did some drawings and later decided to do a prototype. The upside down shape actually makes sense. It fits to the shape of the back better being wider at the shoulders and narrow at the bottom." "Most bags on the market have way too many features that never get used, so I focused on keeping things minimal. You also have a nice top opening compartment stacked on the front of the bag which makes it easier to get at your belongings. Aesthetically, I'm influenced by sculptural forms and nice curves. I wanted the bag to keep its form and look unique, so I incorporated foam into all the panels to achieve a sculptural shape. It also helps protect any electronics in the bag. The pack has the look and feel more like a piece of luggage rather than just a plain backpack. I think we've come up with a unique product that is simple but looks great." The Stack Backpack is currently sold online at the Ecca Form website.

!!Recent Collections ----

!!External Links ---- Click here to see the *Stack Backpack*!
