Over time we discovered that users were not only interested in exceptional products, but they also wanted buying options for those products. In order to provide a greater purchasing experience for our users, productdose developed a shopping search engine to connect editorial content to purchasing solutions. Now our readers are given a choice of multiple retail spaces where they can purchase the items they want. And we do all the leg-work!

Unlike offline magazines that rely heavily on the support of a few large consumer product companies that advertise in their pages, productdose was designed with a layer of independence between the products covered and the larger editorial agenda. Because productdose generates revenue via an integrated shopping search engine that simply refers buyers to sellers, the site doesn't need traditional advertising. There is no financial incentive for productdose to cover particular products over others, and the site lives apart from the conflict of interest that is inherent in the traditional publishing business.

robert o'neill | chief executive officer

Robert is an entrepreneur focused on developing new systems that allow people make better decisions and get more out of their Internet experience.

Robert's experience includes four years of Investment Banking and Corporate Development positions within the Internet services and media worlds. Robert's previous position was as an Investment Banking Associate at Montgomery & Co., at Montgomery Robert worked on such deals as SRD's sale to IBM and Xdrive's sale to AOL. Prior to Montgomery, Robert worked in the Corporate Development department of Creative Artists Agency developing new media models for the Company's various entertainment interests. Robert started his career at JPMorgan H&Q working as an Investment Banking Analyst within the technology, media and telecom division. Robert graduated from Southern Methodist University with degrees in Finance and Accounting.

Anh graduated from Louisiana State University with a BA in English and a minor in Painting and Drawing. He contemplated applying to law school for one brief hazy moment then realized the life of a well-heeled lawyer is really for those who enjoy having enough to eat and a nice bed to lie in. Oh yeah, and the trophy wife. Instead, he decided to pursue another worthless degree by attending UCLA's MFA Screenwriting program. After receiving his masters, Anh puttered about, writing, working a meaningless day job, and skirting questions from friends and family about why they haven't seen one of his movies in the theater. Then came a fortuitous introduction to Productdose and his life has been a whirlwind of gadgets, gizmos, outrageously priced home furnishings, and writing that doesn't include the words actionables, deliverables, and value-add.
